ARRIVAL OF THE COLUMBUS
The Star July 15th 1878
The barque Columbus, from London was signalled this morning, but owing to the fresh south-west breeze, and the tide being ebb, she was compelled to bring up at the heads. At 11 o'clock she got under weigh again, and worked up the harbour. The Columbus is under charter to the New Zealand Shipping Company, and has three saloon and four steerage passengers aboard. She is 115 days out from Deal, having passed there on March 22.
