Built for Patrick Henderson & Co. in 1869, the Agnes Muir a ship of made her maiden voyage to Otago, New Zealand arriving on July 26th 1869. Described on her arrival as "a new iron clipper ship, of large carrying capacity, and on this, her maiden voyage, comes into this port in excellent order". In all she made five trips to New Zealand (four to Otago and one to Auckland) bringing out almost 450 passengers.
