Richard Franklin I
	Richard Franklin I is believed to be the father of Benjamin Franklin. This 
has yet to be confirmed. 
	Children include:
		1.	Benjamin Franklin
		2.	Mourning Franklin
		3.	Josiah Franklin (unconfirmed)
Benjamin Franklin
	b. 15 January 1813
	m. Susan Chadwick
	d. 10 November 1894
	Benjamin Franklin is believed to be the son of Richard Franklin. He was 
found in Russell County, Alabama prior to Butler County. [ref 1] In 1880, they 
were living in the Mount Olive Community. [ref 2] Benjamin and his wife are 
buried at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Butler County.
	Susan was born August 15, 1837 and She died January 17, 1926. She was 
the daughter of William Chadwick and Sarah Bush.

		2.	Lewis Franklin b. ca. 1861
		3.	Lucy Franklin b. ca. 1866

Sarah Ann Franklin

	m. Thomas Jefferson Newton
	d. 3 February 1884
	Sally Ann Franklin was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Susan 
Shaddrick.
	Thomas Jefferson Newton was the son of Caswell Newton and Malinda 
Caroline Davis.
	Children of Thomas Jefferson Newton and Sally Ann Menervy Franklin:
		1.	Pearlie Mae Newton (see Newton records)
Mourning Franklin
	m. Thomas S. Kettler
	Mourning Franklin is believed to be the daughter of Richard Franklin I. 
She is buried in an unmarked grave at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
	Children of Mourning Franklin :
		1.	Richard Franklin III m. Nancy Ramsey, buried Mount Carmel 
Cemetery, Butler Co.
	No records of children born to the union of Thomas Kettler and Mourning 
Franklin have been located.  It is not clear as to the Franklin name being given 
to the child named here.
