FAMILIES OF
BUTLER COUNTY, ALABAMA
The following names are from the lines of my Stinson and Smith families who settled in Butler County, AL.
I was born in Greenville, Butler County, Alabama, the daughter of Charlie W. Stinson and Alma L. Smith Stinson. My parents moved to oilfields of West Texas when I was two years old. As a result, I didn't grow up knowing my Alabama relatives. We visited my grandparents, Esther Black Stinson, and Lonnie C. Smith every few years. I learned of the remainder of my ancestors through research.
