Died at age 23 from double pneumonia
Nealy married Ed Davis, probably about 1909-1910. Nealy died in either late 1911 or early 1912, at the very young age of about 23, of double pneumonia. Nealy and Ed had one child, a daughter, who was born in April, 1911. I suppose Ed was in no condition to raise this child, so he entrusted the raising of this child to his mother-in-law. This mother-in-law, also the child's grandmother,
became her "grandma", her "ma", her "Babe." Babe would be the only mother she ever knew. This baby's name was Lillie B. Davis, who you might have heard referred to as "Aunt Tea."
