Story is that our great grandfather, Martin Rupe, lived on PEE CEE or DEE Ridge, Mount Clifton, Shenendoah Co. VA., close to the West VA border, near Romney, West VA. A Cabin still stands that he built in the 1700's.

Lewis Zirkle Rupe was Pearls grandfather.
Emily Rupe Tillotson & William Henry H. Rupe, daughter & son of John Henry Rupe, were younger than grandchildren.
James Madison Rupe was raised by an uncle (Rupe) (Hokam born??)
Martin & Christina came from VA.
Israel Rupe was Hannah's grandfather. Her mother was Amanda Rupe. >
7 or 9 brothers and one sister came from Germany. The sister disappeared & no one knows what happened to her. Their father and mother were dead.
John Loy was Emily Rupe's husband. She was Pearls dads sister (John M.). She married again to Jim Post.
Dads sister, Christina went to California and never returned.
Uncle Henry Rupe married Wayne Rupe's daughter. Wayne also had a JINNY (daughter)

Frank Rupe is the father of Dale Rupe. In the Agency Oil business. Dale had a daughter named Helen She married Kenneth Davis.
Herman Rupe,(possible son of Dale Rupe), & Wife Opal on Bruce St. had a son Carl Rupe that was killed in an accident. They had 2 Opals.

The funeral Services for Mary (Nancy) J. Rupe who died Thursday afternoon were held this morning at 10:00 from the family residence in Green Township with Rev. McNair in charge.
Internment was made in McIntire Cemetery.
