Jonas Rupp, born March 26, 1836 in Locust Township, Columbia Co. PA. He was the son of Rueben Rupp and 3. Mary(Maria) ???. He married Harriet Yost December 27, 1859 in Catawissa Luthern Church.
Child of Jonas Rupp and Harriet Yost is:
i. Anna Catherine Rupp, born September 14, 1863 in Fisherdale, PA; married Daniel Fransis Mensch June 24, 1882.
Jonas and Harriet Yost Rupp also had a son Harmon, who was born in 1869 and died in 1925. He married Syvilla Stine (1872-1924) on March 25, 1893 at the Fisherdale Church.
Harmon and Syvilla Stine Rupp had a son, Victor, and a daughter, Mary Effie.
Mary Effie (1896-1923) married William Stellfox (1890-1939) on November 25, 1922 at the Fisherdale Church. Their only child, William, was born on November 26, 1923. Mary Effie died less than a month later (12/16/23).
William Stellfox (son of William and Effie) is my father.
Jonas and Harriet Yost Rupp were my great-great grandparents.
As a note of interest, my mother (Charlotte Breech Stellfox) has a quilt that was made by Harriet Yost Rupp for my grandmother, Mary Effie Rupp Stellfox. In the center of the quilt is a message to Mary Effie
from her grandmother Harriet Rupp.
They also had a son by the name of George Albert Rupp, born on June 06, 1860. He married Sarah Bolich bef. 1884 They had 11 children. One of which was my Husbands Ggrandmother.
