Click link or photo to be taken to the page of his stories.
This is a truly entertaining story, by my cousin Frank, that takes place from 1935 to 1938.
We are very fortunate to have his talents to offer on the Reading Room.
My family history came alive as I laughed at the antics of my cousin as a young boy.
Hopefully Frank will continue on with his stories.
Thank you Frank for giving me permission to share them with our readers.

~~~New~~~
Frank has been very busy with his story telling. He has been building a website to tell the story
of his 21 years in the United States Air Force. As usual Frank's story telling will keep you
entertained as you read. I love the way Frank holds nothing back as he tells his colorful tales.
He changes his pages from time to time and adds to them so keep reading, you might find something new he's added.
Thank you Frank for serving our country.
Frank's Air Force Story
~~~~~~~~~
Frank's daughter Becky wrote a tribute to give to her dad one year. Reading her words
gives us the opportunity to know the real Frank, who is a very special man and obviously
a very important father. It's an honor to include Becky's memories of her dad here.
~ Becky Remembers Her Dad (Frank Duke) ~

Frank has sent some wonderful stories for us to read. If you enjoy them let him know.
Click on his photo above to go to his page of memories, where you will find his email address.
Frank is very proud of the stories his family has written.
Below are two memory stories by two of his nieces.

This next story was such a great way to honor one's parents.
Written by Laura(Duke)Trammell, daughter of Bud (Arthur Duke) and Glenda(Humphrey)Duke.
~ A Tribute to Daddy (Bud) ~by Laura Trammell.

Some of this next story, had me laughing as I could just picture all of this happening.
Sally(Wehmeyer)Boggs is the granddaughter of Frank's sister Hazel and the daughter of Sammye(Billington)Wehmeyer.
~ Good Old Memories ~by Sally Boggs.

This next memory is by Carol(Billington)Houston, daughter of Hazel(Duke)Billington.
Her story also was first on the Royal Dukes site.
The grandparents she mentions in her story are Frank's parents. Her and Frank are brother and sister.
~ Memories ~ by Carol Houston.

Becky, Laura, Sally, Carol and I are all granddaughters of George and Belle Duke.
They have passed on a strong need to write down our thoughts.

Wesley 1991

Memories Of Wesley Arnel Stephens

For those of us who knew him, we can see him telling these stories and hear his laugh.
I will share some of the stories he told me as well, on his trips to California, when time permits me to write them.
He always had this way of making each story bigger than life.

They just might inspire you to write your own memoirs.

Flossie1996
As I promised here is the beginning of the Interviews with my Grandmother.
Interviews and Stories of Grandma

Part 1 is from a 1999 video when Grandma was 89 years old.
Interview of Grandma (Flossie Dimple(Duke)Stephens) by Carol League.
Also transcribed by Carol League.
I made a couple of videos of my grandmother for the purpose of interviews for genealogy. She always loved to be involved.
When I ask her to let me ask her questions about her childhood on a movie she was always ready. It amazed her to see herself talking on the television afterwards.
At one time, when I was in college, we had to find someone to diagnose, for one of my psychology classes. I would always go to grandma for anything like that and she would gladly participate.
After I am done transcribing, the interviews, I will try to find that old college paper I did and post it on here also. The answers she gave me were very interesting
and it was at least fifteen years before these video interviews.
