1st Question; Does anyone have information on Aaron League born in Virginia about 1739, that would positively link him to his parents or brothers and sisters? We have found quite a bit of information on him, however we have not been able to link him to the family we believe he may be related to. That is James Jr., William and Bartholomew. Gary League of Alabama would greatly appreciate any information you can supply.

2nd Question: Has anyone else had any experience getting records from Illinois Institutions or employment records from St. Clara's hospital in Lincoln, Illinois. Maureen Bray, has ask for help here. She is seeking information on Artie Cape, born Artimessa C. League June 3, 1878 and died July 14, 1940. In 1920 she is listed as an inmate, along with two of her daughters, at Lincoln State Colony and School. The 1930 Census lists Artie Cape as a domestic working for St. Clara's hospital on 5th St., in Lincoln, Illinois. She was no longer living at the hospital. However, the 1930 Census still lists the daughters Edith and Kloa Belle as inmates in Illinois Institute for Feeble Minded Children. They were 16 and 18 years of age. Edith ran away shortly after that. Kloa Belle also left there. Both girls ended up in California. Edith went to her mother's brother Clark in Oakland, Kloa went to her mother's brother Charles in Merced. Edith went on to live a normal life, marrying and raising a family. Kloa died during pregnancy June 30, 1941. Edith told her children that her mother had died when she was a child. In reality her mother was still living after Artie married and had her first child. Edith lived until May 30, 1999. Artie was the daughter of Anderson League and Cynthia Cruncleton. She married Louis Cape on December 26, 1897 in Johnson County, Vienna, IL. They are also seeking any information on Louis. They do have his death certificate, but, it does not give any information on his parents. Louis and Artie's daughter's Maureen and Jouleen have been actively searching for any information on their grandparents for quite some time. They have been told that their mother is buried in Rail Splitter Cemetery and that it is on the grounds of what is now a penal institution, so they can not go to their grandmother's grave or get any information about it. Artie had an infant son die while at the Lincoln School. Where are the records kept for any of these places; St. Clara's hospital, Lincoln State school for feeble minded children, Rail Splitter Cemetery, etc..We run into dead ends at every turn. We can no find anyone to speak to at the cemetery where Artie and her son are buried. We can not find information as to why her and her daughters were locked up after her husband died. The daughters do have the death certificates for Louis, Artie and infant son Elmer. Where are the records kept? Any suggestions?
