Birth Certificates and Birth Records

Click on links to see documents or files. Many of the birth certificates are delayed birth records.
Many people born in the late 1800s and early 1900s did not have birth records of their births.
When Social Security needed birth certificates later in their lives they had to go to people
that had been their when they were born, go the family bibles and just anywhere that
there was records of their births. Sometimes this was not easily done and finding people to sign
affidavits, to the fact, proved to be a a long process.
