The files are not in any particular order. At the beginning I was putting them in alphabetically, however, I have just been adding them as I come to them, so they are no longer in order. The surnames will remain in order, however the first names will no longer be in order. At a later time I may be able to come back to reorganize them.
Benjamin and Edith's Marriage License. The Affidavit and License were all one long document. My scanner could not scan the entire length so it was easier to do two scans to get the whole document.
When using the marriage license for verifying spelling of names this one shows the last name of Edith's mother as Seela. Since she had died before her daughter married, it was spelled however those present remembered it being. I have later verified a different spelling from a photo signed by Sara Maleda's mother Emeline. That spelling is Seily. When researching surnames I would suggest using what ever way you can think of that someone may have spelled it. For instance Kathy Younghusband, found a census record a few years ago with the Seily family under Sully. So far I have identified the same family under Sully, Seily, Seela, Seely and Seeley.
Missouri marriages for surname Bullock. These were searches I did when researching Lucinda Bullock. I include all of my searches and findings in hopes it will help others find what they are looking for and in turn help to complete my research.
Newspaper announcement of Tim League and Carol Daniel to be wed. The newspaper misprinted a couple of things. Main thing was Tim's father was Avery A. League not T. Under League you will also find the announcement from the newspaper after the double-wedding with Tim's brother and his wife.
George W. Duke and Mrs. Minnie M. Godwin (maiden name Sparks) March 9, 1914. Second wife. First wife was Arbelle above. George married Minnie after his wife passed away and his wife's brother passed away. Minnie was George's sister-in-law, who had been married to Joel Godwin (see Joel and Minnie's marriage certificate under GODWIN below). Joel was Arbelle's brother. George and Arbelle had 20 children and Minnie had five children with Joel. After George and Minnie married, they had four more children.
John S. League and Grace B. Wolford Can not read the date clearly. It is either January 2nd or 5th of 1898. The dates have been changed on the document.
Chas Stephens and Lessie Foster
Lessie Foster was the first wife of Charley Stephens. I found it interesting that Charley's father John Stephens was present and gave his consent to the marriage. Charley was over 18 years of age and Lessie was under 18 years of age. Normally it would be the parent of the bride who would need to consent to the marriage of an underage girl. Her name is listed as Lessie on ther marriage license, however Charley said her name was Melissa. Lessie died in childbirth with hers and Charley's first child. Charley, and his next wife and family, continued to be friends with the Foster family. Flossie Duke, below is his second wife and mother of his children.

Flossie is the daughter of George Washington Duke and Arbelle Godwin above, under Duke marriages.
Henry Stephens November 27, 1899. I can not make out the name of the bride. However it looks like Dora Barks. Anyone knowing for sure please let me know. Henry is the son of James and Susan Stephens.
