Obituary for Almeda (Ridenhour) Tune
Almeda (Ridenhour) Tune was born in Phelps County on Dec 5, 1852, and died on May 5, 1939 at the age of eighty six years.
She was married to Samuel J. Tune on Feb 13, 1870, having been married sixty nine years.
Mrs. Tune is survived by her husband and seven children, Mary Jane Pidcock, Emma Gibbs and Robert of Salem, Lee of Oakland, California, Otis and Oscar of Coalinga, California, and Lewis of Vinita, Oklahoma. Three children, an infant son, Johnny and Charles, preceded her in death. She also leaves sixty one grand children and sxty six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Tune had been an invalid for the past twelve years, and had been confined to her bed for more than a year.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the home, Rev. Wallie Gibbs, officiating. Interment was in the Tune cemetery under the direction of Hobson & Garantham.
