"MRS. ELLA DE WOLF PASSES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME IN PLACERVILLE.  Mrs. Ella De Wolf, 84, mother of Mrs. Martin Luther, passed away early Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, where she had resided the past twelve years.  Mrs. De Wolf, native of Wisconsin, came to California in 1914.  She is survived by one brother, W. Ostrander, of Sterling, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Lelia McKenney, of Folsom, in addition to the daughter at whose home she passed away; and two sons, Bert, of Diamond Springs, and Floyd, who is at the veterans hospital.  Funeral services were held on Thursday at 1:30 o'clock at the Federated Church.  Interment was at Sylvan Cemetery, near Roseville under the direction of the Dillinger Chapel." - (Placerville) Mountain Democrat, Thu., 4 Dec 1941, pg. 5/2.
