Addresses: The name of the street was somewhat hard to read; looks like
"Front" St., but might be "Prout" St. St. Vincent's Home was located at
108 N. "Front" St., and St. Vincent's Orphan Asylum was located at 110-116
N. "Front" St. Despite the fact that the institutions have separate street
numbers, the order of visitation numbers for each appeared to be the same in
the original census.
This census was taken June 14, 1900 by Frank Seidenman, Enumerator.
14 4 years married appears to have been crossed off
17 Might be Conry, possibly Coney, Corry
18 Surname is hard to read; might be something like Wollke, Weiller/Weille,
Weilker/Weilke, perhaps Weller/Welle (?)
20 Hard to read due to overwriting on letters leading up to the "k", but
looks like Conkley - might be something similar. "C???kley"
22 Might be Cubener, Cubaner, or something similar; not clearly written.
26 Might be Rodeline (given name).
31 Might be Willifred
33-34 Might be Muller. Given name for #34 looks like "Kwn"/"Awn" -- might
be Ann. Also for #34: unable to read occupation - begins with "C"
and ends with "d"; the occupation resembles "Chambermaid" but doesn't
look like that is it.
36 Might be Broh; middle letters somewhat hard to read.
56 Might be Horr, Harr; possibly Herr but it doesn't really look like Herr.
62 Surname looks like "R?irssay", as written with the "s" letters small and
in printed form; might be Reimay, Raimay, or something similar.
68 Might be Reidlar, Beidler, Reidler
77 Might be McWariel, McWasiel (there is the dot of an "i" but might be a
stray mark or page defect).
80 Surname looks like Hougherty but might be Dougherty.
81 Given name might possibly be Edward; looks more like Edmond but the "n"
seems to resemble an "r" more than "n".
90 Hard to read; as written, this surname looks like "Maxaors" (with the
"x" bearing a tail - as would a "y"). Might be Mayers, Myers, Meyers,
or something similar.
91 Might be Goffery
94 Given name looks like Brodrisk, as written; might be Brodrick.
