Peter Orange was the father of
I, Peter Orange of York Street BG weaver
First £20 and no more to be expended on my Funeral
I give to my son Joseph my modern 8 day clock and four hundred pounds
three per cent Consolidated Bank Annuities (Bank of England)
but in case (he) shall depart this life before my decease I dispose of
the said £400 stock as follows
£50 part thereof to my Grandson Joseph Orange, £50 other part to my
Grandson David Orange, children of my said son
and the remaining £300 to be divided amongst the other children of my
said son Joseph equally upon their attaining their respective ages of 21
years and in case there should be only one child living of my said son
at my decease, i give the £400 to such only child (sa she it )...attain
the age of 21. Dividends to be received by Susannah the wife of my said
son for the purposes of maintaining and bringing up of the said child or
children.
I give and bequeath to Henry Orange my other 8 day clock and also £400
£3 per cent life Annuities but in case he should depart (see above),
£150 part thereof to my Grandson Henry upon his attaining the age of 21
and the £250 residue amongst the other children of my said son Henry
upon their attaining 21 years
but in case there should be only 1 child living at my decease I give the
whole said sum of £400 to such only child. During his her or their
minorities the interest or dividend to be by my executors applied
towards the maintenance and upbringing of the child or children of my
said son Henry
I give to Ann Davis of Great York Street, spinster, all my household
furniture plate linen china and also £200 ? pound for per cent annuities
all the residue to Joseph Henry and the said Ann Davis

In the Name of God ...
I, John Baptist Orange of the Hamlet of Mile End Old Town in the Manor
of Stepney and in the County of Middlesex,....
Glorious Resurrection...
To my Grandson John Meyers £10
To my Daughter Mary Ann Meyers all the household ffurniture that is in
my room at Mile End
To my Son John Baptist Orange all my Cloaths, Linen and Wearing Apparel
with all the ffurniture that is in my room at Cheshunt together with the 3 Shares in the Sierra Leone Company and as to the remainder of my Money which may be found in the Bank with
what may be in the House and the Houses in London, I will that it be
equally divided between my 3 Children, ie Mary Ann Meyers John Baptiso
Orange and Samuel Jackson but the ffreehold that is at Cheshunt I will
that it be sold after the Death of my son John Baptist Orange within the
Start of the Year after his Demise and the Product to be laid in the
Stocks to be equally divided to his surviving Children as they shall
come to the age of twenty one Years but that the Interest thereof to be
given for the Bringing up of them till they shall come of Age to receive
their Share Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and three

County of Middlesex Spinster and Bowler Miller (maybe!) of Birchin Lane
Cornhill London Gentleman, and by virtue of...Oaths... deposed that they
knew and were well acquainted with John Baptist Orange, formerly of
Cheshunt but late of the Parish of St Dunstans Stepney ... acquainted
with his handwriting...having seen and perused the paper purporting to
br last Will and Testament with a Codicil .. said Sarah ffox and
.illegible. were duly sworn
this Will was proved at London on the twenty eighth Day of Sept in the
Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four

This is in translation the will of THOMAS ORANGE probably written written the month before he died and seems not to have been from the descendants of Abraham Orange from Bolbec! [Possibly, John was wine merchant of Hackney Road and father of Sophia
Emma (m. Nash) b.1817 and Sarah Orange.(m.Carens)

I, Thomas Orange of St Leonard Shoreditch, Victualler,
give to my father Thomas Orange of this Parish two shillings and a
pair of gloves.
give to my sister Sarah Orange, spinster of this parish, five shillings
and a pair of gloves.
give to my sister Ann Morris, wife of Richard Morris of Cork in the
Parish of St Matthew BG, bake, five shillings and a pair of gloves.
The residue I give to my wife and executrix, Elizabeth Orange for her
care and trouble in bringing up, Maintaining and Cherishing my son John
now an Infant
