Amelia "Milly" GRAVES was born in 1763 in Virginia, daughter of Rice GRAVES and Jane Young.
Amelia married Pvt. William ABNEY, son of John ABNEY, on 19 December 1785 in Amherst County, Virginia. After their marriage, William and Milly moved to Dickson County, Tennnessee with his parents. Later, in March 1818 he received bounty land in Gallatin County, Illinois and moved there but returned to Dickson County in July 1824. They returned to Equality, Gallatin County, Illinois on 10 November 1829 and lived there until his death in 1835.1
