Athol Graham Pickering, third child of Arthur and Elfrida Pickering (nee Dixon), was born on 1 November 1912 at Woodville.

Ivy Elsie Winifred Harding, child of Charles and Beda Harding (nee Screen), was born on 24 November 1914, in Bristol, England.

Athol, aged 24, and Ivy, aged 22, were married on 29 September 1937 at St Mark's Church, Wellington.

Athol passed away on 6 May 1990, aged 77, near Hastings. Ivy passed away on 30 May 1979, aged 64, near Hastings.
