Q. Why don't you site sources
on all your information ?
A. Every effort is made to site
sources in all areas. The information that does not have a source most
likely falls in 1 of 3 areas -
1. When I first started I did
not keep track of the sources. Unfortunately I did not realize the importance
of this. I have tried to go back and fill it in as I can remember, so just
a big boo-boo on my part and lack of foresight. I know, I know.....
2. It was lost in the big computer
crash of 2000. coops :X Another good argument for always always always
back up your data !
3. I do not show sources for living
individuals.
Q. If I have a source for information
you have, may I send it to you?
A. Yes !!! Please do.
Q. I am your source. Will you give
me credit??
A. Yes !! I would love to !!
Q. Your information is wrong, can
I send you proof ?
A. Yes ! Please do !
Q. Why do you have a birth date
for someone who is 400 years older then
their child ?
A. OOPS. Big typo.
And a note on typos
- I do make mistakes, everyone does. Typos happen no matter how careful
I am. I have gotten a lot of pretty bad emails from people telling me what
an idiot I am on a typo I made which had a major incorrect birth date.
While I appreciate immensely the people who pointed it out to me, there
is no reason to be mean. Those of you who are helpful, you are truly appreciated
!!
Q. I sent you information/proof/etc.
and it isn't showing on the web site yet. Why not?
A. Most likely I am in the process
of updating it. Keep checking, or when you send me the information let
me know you want notified when the information is added.
Q. Will you send me your entire
Gedcom ?
A. No. It is too big
Q. Will you send me part of your
gedcom?
A. Yes
Q. Do you want my gedcom?
A. Probably
Q. Do you want my gedcom/information
even if it has an indirect line ?
A. Probably
Q. What other information will
you accept?
A. I will accept about anything
genealogy related that you have. I will not accept files by email unless
they are pictures or text. If you have another file (for example a gedcom)
email me for a location it can be uploaded to.
Q. Will you make me a web site?
A. No. I don't have time. But
I will add your information to this site.
