WARING, MARY ELIZABETH GURTLER (NO DATE)

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Gurtler Waring, wife of Burt W. Waring, 320 Conner Avenue, Joplin, Mo., who died at 3 o'clock Monday morning, Nov. 17, was held at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at the First Community Church in Joplin. The Rev. Otto Seymour officiated and burial was in Ozark Memorial park at Joplin. Pallbearers were Roy Breazeale, J.R. Fleming, L.E. Campbell, Guy Nearing, Floyd Hubbard and Allen Miller.

Mrs. Waring was born in Garrison, Kansas on September 27, 1885, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gurtler of this city, and was 56 years of age at her death. She had been a resident of Joplin for the past 18 years. She was a member of the First Community church.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Burt Waring Jr., of Butler, Mo., and J.P. Waring of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Margaret A. Myall of Bay City; Billie Ruth and Miss Rosalie Waring of the home; Mrs. Mary Louise Livingston, 111 No. Conner and Mrs. Gweneth Rogers, 1823 Porter Ave., Joplin, Mo. Also four brothers, George Gurtler of Denver; Leonard Gurtler of Junction City; Frank Gurtler of Lawrence, Kans., and Ed Gurtler of Onaga; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Crumbaker of Denver, and Mrs. Bessie Jones of Mayetta; and two grandchildren.
