Hi Ollie

You ask me about Boston's stone at Pisgah Church. There are four stones in a row. From L to R Patsy Ollis , Boston Ollis 1744-1834 , Elizabeth C Ollis , Swancie (Swansea) Ollis 1912.

The stones are approx 10 X !2 in and made of gray Granite. I've not determined who Patsy was and have not caught up to anyone at the church to look at the records.

I'll let you know when I find out more.

Subject: Wow! Thank You for all the Ollis Information

Hello,

My name is Doyle Baxter Ollis Jr, my father (Doyle Sr.) has been in contact with you over the last several weeks/days and pointed me in the direction of your website.  I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your website and all of the information posted.

While in Avery County, North Carolina this past year my father and grandfather (Guy Lloyd Ollis) did a little history lesson and went around to visit as many of the grave sites as we could find. I will attach some pictures of the grave site for Boston and John Swansea.  After talking to my dad and his understanding from you and your research it appears that this marker for Boston may be incorrect.  Nevertheless I thought it was neat to have these pictures for my family history.

As I can tell I am an eighth (8th) generation male descendant of Boston Ollis.

Boston-John Swansea-Boston-Joseph Taylor-Baxter-Guy Lloyd-Doyle Baxter Sr. Doyle Baxter Ollis Jr.

Thanks again,

Doyle B. Ollis Jr.
