Allison was an Explorer Scout who had worked several summers teaching
water sports at Metamora, MI Boy Scout Camp D-Bar-A, where she was regarded as the best
kayaker ever. She was an avid reader and at the time of her death was secretary for a
Royal Oak real estate broker and had done some freelance writing for Royal Oak newspapers.
She died November 1, 1994, of a dissecting aortic aneurysm at age 23 after being
misdiagnosed as having stomach flu. Although she was 6 foot tall, she had never been
diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome and was in apparent excellent health.
Allison was the daughter of Judith Reed Ligosky and the grand-daughter of Annie (Ollis)
Reed. To learn more about what took this lovely young lady from us at the tender age of
23, visit the sites linked below. |
