Mrs. John W. Simmons, Sr., received a message on Friday announcing the death of her brother R. Burkes Morgan in Floyd, Va. His death was not unexpected, as he had been very ill for some months. Floyd loses a valued citizen in Mr. Morgan. He has been cashier of the Bank there for a number of years. A leader in the church and Sunday school. He is survived by his wife, seven children, two sisters, and a brother.
