APOPKA MAN'S BODY FOUND APRIL 2 IN DAYTONA SURF
The Apopka Chief, 9 April 2004
The body of Edvier Brian Moore, a 19-year-old Apopka man who disappeared in the ocean off Daytona Beach Shores on March 30, was recovered on Friday, April 2.
A beachgoer spotted Moore's body in the water near the 4200 block of Atlantic Avenue in Wilbur-by-the-Sea at about 8 a.m., according to Volusia County Beach Patrol Deputy Chief Joe Wooden.
Wooden said Moore was believed to have drowned after being caught in a rip current while bodysurfing with two friends. Rip currents are strong flows of water away from the shore that rush through breaks in sandbars.
Born and raised in Jackson, Mich., Moore moved to Central Florida in 1994. He is survived by his parents, Betty and Edwin Moore of Apopka.
His brothers are Javier Moore and Johnha Bayton Moore of Apopka, and his sistrs are Xhlayonna Halanna Moore and Xhalorra Moore of Apopka.
