ROBERT S. PIERSON, 68, Orlando, died Thursday, April 22. Mr. Pierson was born in Gadsden, Alabama. Survivors: wife, JoAnn; son, Robert S., Jr.; daughter, Susan M. Kachik; brothers, W.H. "Jim," Barney, Ga., J.H. "Bud," Zellwood; 5 grandchildren.

CODY LOGAN VANOVER, Apopka, died Saturday, April 24. Survivors: parents, Andrew and Jean Marie; brothers, Stacey Elwood, Andrew III, both of Melbourne; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sherman; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Vanover, Melbourne. JAMES OTTO KREMER, 65, Lake Wales, died Saturday, April 24. Mr. Kremer was a retired machinist for Crown, Cork & Seal, Winter Garden. Born in Maria Stein, Ohio, he lived in Apopka for 34 years before moving to Lake Wales. He was Catholic. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Central Florida Bass Masters, and a charter member of the Bass Anglers Sportsmen Society. Survivors: wife, Carol; daughters, Kathy Van Kirk, Orlando; Karen Brill, Pittsburgh, Pa.; sons, Jim, Calhoun, Ga., Jeff, Tallahassee, Joe, Osteen, John, Sanford, Jerry, Apopka; sisters, Mariam Wise, Caroline Crawford, both of Greenville, Ohio, Marjorie Elson, Sidney, Ohio, Marilyn Potter, Troy, Ohio, Janet Hatcher, Rockford, Ohio. DANIEL J. GILL, 36, Eustis, died Thursday, April 22. Mr. Gill was a foreman in the construction industry. Born in New York, he moved to Central Florida in 1996. He was Catholic. VERNON K. ANDERSON, 79, Apopka, died Friday, April 23. Mr. Anderson was a customer service manager for Pan American Airlines. He was born in Taft, California. JEANETTE L. DEBERRY, 85, Apopka, died Monday, April 26. Mrs. DeBerry was a bookkeeper. Born in Dallas, North Carolina, she moved to Central Florida in 1945. JOHN R. SUTTON, JR., 80, Astatula, died Monday, April 26. Mr. Sutton was retired from the Country Club of Orlando. Born in Orlando, he was a lifelong resident of Central Florida. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and was active with the Animal League of Lake County. Survivors: wife, Jeanne; daughters, Sandra Adams, Apopka, Valerie Welch, Orlando; son, Mike, Casselberry; sister, Margaret "Peg" Tisdale, Seguro, Ariz.; brother, Joseph, Huntsville, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. GUNSTEN "GUS" SKOMEDAL, 95, Zellwood, died Monday, April 26. Mr. Skomedal was retried from Sorenson-Gross Construction Co. born in Bygland, Norway, he moved to Zellwood in 1979. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Longwood. Survivors: wife, Evelyn; son, Victor; daughter, Linnea Flora; sisters, Anne Attestog, Mari Aamil, both of Norway; brother, Grunde, Australia; 2 grandchildren.
