DARLEEN R. KOVACH, 65, Apopka, died Wednesday, February 11. Mrs. Kovach was a librarian. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she moved to Central Florida in 2002. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Apopka. She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women at the church. JACKIE H. McCALL, 52, Apopka, died Friday, February 13. Mrs. McCall was a cashier for Liggetts. Born in Opp, Alabama, she moved to Central Florida in 1955. She was a member of Park Avenue Worship Center, Apopka. Survivors: daughters, Tonya Rangel, Apopka, Alice M. Ihlanfeldt, Eustis; sister, Janis L. Rye, Orlando; brother, Michael R. HELEN CIRKO GONDERA, 76, died Thursday, February 12. Mrs. Gondera was an assistant manager in the cosmetics business. Born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, she moved to Central Florida in 1979. ROY HYATT, 89, Apopka, died Sunday, February 15. Mr. Hyatt was retired from the Navy, a veteran of the attack on Pearl Harbor and World War II. He was born in Fields, Louisiana. HENRY FRANK HAMILTON, 70, Apopka, died Saturday, February 14. Mr. Hamilton was a carpenter. Born in Thomasville, Georgia, he moved to Central Florida in 1980. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. JANE ROGERS, 70, Apopka, died Sunday, February 15. Mrs. Rogers was the accountant for Rogers Music and Games. Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, she moved to Central Florida in 1951. She was the first chairman of the Zellwood Corn Boil Festival and co-founder and president of the Florida Foliage Association. She was the first woman to receive the Horticulurist of the Year aware in 1975. A published author, she was on the President's Council of the University of Florida. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Apopka. Survivors: husband, Richard; sister, Louise Miller, Sorrento; brothers, Ray Smith, Irving, Texas, Mike Smith, Winter Garden; two grandchildren. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.
JOEL CAVAZOS, SR., 56, Apopka, died Wednesday, February 11. Mr. Cavazos was a maintenance worker in the floral industry. born in rio Rico, Tamaulipas, he moved to Central Florida in 1993.
