| Obituary - William A. Nesler sandraladd19added this on 12 Aug 2008 "William A. Nesler, son of Albert and Martha Nesler, was born on the first day of December, 1874, in Wabash County, near Kingsburg, Illinois. He died on the twenty-sixth day of March, 1940, at his home in Olney, Illinois, at the age of sixty-five years, three months, and twenty-five days. At the early age of seventeen, "Alec," (as he has always been known to his friends) joined the Bethlehem Congregational Christian Church. During all the remaining years of his life he maintained a consistent profession of Christian faith, attending the services of worship in the Free Methodist and Nazarene churches wherever he made his home. On the nineteenth day of December, 1894, when twenty years old, he married Miss Mary E. Jones, who survives him. To this happy union was born four children, one boy and three girls, Rev. Alvin, of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Daisy Edmondson, of Bridgeport, Illinois; Mrs. Mildred Smith, and Mrs. Edith Wright, both of Olney, Illinois. Three younger brothers also live to mourn his death; Albert, of St. Francisville, Illinois; Isaac, of Champaign, Illinois; and Charles Nesler, of Arkansas. There are ten grandchildren, and many friends who shall cherish his memory. In the early years of his married life, Mr. Nesler operated a farm in Lawrence County. Later, in 1925, he moved his family into Richland County, making his home in Olney. During these later years he engaged his energies in following the carpenter's trade. He was known by all to be honest in his business dealings, patient in much suffering. To his family he has been known as an affectionate and considerate husband, a kind and loving father. The last year of his life was a year of great suffering. His health failed rapidly. But he was ever thoughtful of the interests of his family, and diligent in his efforts to provide the best for those he loved. With courage and faith he met man's last great experience, death. Card of Thanks - We wish to thank our friends and neighbors who were so kind and sympathetic at the illness and death of our husband and father. Mrs. William A.
