| 1860 Census, Richland Co Il.------------------------------------!Obit;Andrew Jackson Sager, an honored and respected citizen of Claremont township, Richland county, departed this life Sunday morning, January 6, 1907. He had been ailing for over a year, but not until recently did his case become serious and alarm the family. He contracted a very heavy cold which settled in his lungs, bringing on the dreaded disease, Pneumonia. He was only confined to his bed for four days. Mr. Sager was born in Samdusky county, Ohio, July 5 1845. He migrated to this state with his parents in 1853, when a mere eight years old, settling on a farm a half mile north of his late residence. He was an active member of the Saint James Evangelical Luthern Church, where he from time to time served un different capacities as an officer in the church.He assisted in building two churches, the last one a fine up to date structure which was dedicated a few years ago.He was a life long democrat and was always willing to give what he could for his party.On the 10th. day of March, 1870, he was married to Miss Calinda Guinther, which union was blessed with eight children, of which the following survive; Nora Sager, Charles D.
