A list of French refugees at Manican Town, Virginia, March 6, 1701 lists the surname of Villian. The Gloucestor rent rolls, Ware Parrish of 1704 lists an Isaac Valine. A Jean Villian and wife Philipe are mentioned several times in the 1730's in the book Huguenot Emigration to Virginia. The first recorded data on shat is almost certain to be the ancestry of the Arkansas line of Villines is the <I>Vestry Book of Upper Parish, Nansemond County, Virginia. 1743-1793</I>. The following pertains to the Processioning of lands from this book. September 17, 1759.........A line between Abraham Velines and Richard Hynes and a line between Abraham Velines and Ashburn Orphan.
