She was born April 2, 1920, near Kingston, the daughter of Arminta "Minnie" Fields. She was a member of Drakes Creek Baptist Church and a homemaker and farmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Randolph Eaton; a son, Gary Lavon Eaton; and a daughter, Nellie Faye Sloan. She is survived by four sons, Rayburn Eaton of Elkins, Winfred Eaton and Roy Eaton, both of Wesley and Arvis Eaton of Bertram, Texas; seven daughters, Joyce Bunch of Elkins, Sharon Carter and Norma Marshall, both of Wesley, Janice Torbett, Patricia Eaton and Sandra Bowman, all of Fayetteville and Linda Baxter of Leander, Texas; seven sisters, Donna Hill of Portland, Ore., Ruth Villines of Forum, Dovie Fields, Evelyn Whiteley and Annie Fields, all of Berryville, Iva Chambers of Cloque, Minn. and Ellen Bagley of Kingston; 28 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with the Revs. Johnny Sisemore and Lynville Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Bohannan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. |
