He was born July 19, 1928, at Rogers to James virgil Fielding and Lassie Leota Fields Fielding. He was a jeweler and a watchmaker. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He moved to the Gravette-Hiwasse area in 1965 from Downey, Calif. He was a member of the Hiwasse American Legion Post 17. Survivors are his wife, Betty Jane Fielding; a son, James Millard Fielding, Jr. of Bentonville; a daughter, Kimberly Annette Fielding of Gravette; two brothers, Minter Leroy Fielding of Rogers and William Carroll Fielding of Springdale; four sisters, Virginia May Colville of Gravette and Dena Irene Tipton, Wilma Leotas Obenshain and Joyce Eleine Whitney, all of Rogers; seven grandchildren. Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Monday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Gravette with Keoth Sangwin officiating. Burial is to be in Rogers Cemetery under direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home. Visitation is set for 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
