[fowlvill.ged] OBITUARY: JESSIE H. SELF Funeral Services for Jessie Hall Self, 88, will be conducted Friday, July 17, at 10:30a.m. at the Freewill Baptist Church in Hitchita. Rev. Elmer Lockhart will officiate, assisted by Rev. Mike Kirby. Interment will be in Lackey cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home. Mr. Self, a resident of Hitchita, died July 14 in the Okmulgee hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1893 in Clarksville, Ark. He was married to Viola Odie Howerton July 3, 1914 at Colgate. A member of the Holiness Church inHitchita, Mr. Self was prededed in death by one son, J. F. Self, November 1980. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Odie Self of the home, three sons, Ernest and Eugene Self, Hitchita, and Junior Self, Norwalk, Ca., three daughters, Josie Farrice, Hitchita, Jessie Foster, Council Hill, and Joyce Baldridge, Okmulgee, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
