Avondale primary school is to the right of Avondale Racecourse. Ash street in mums day and my day, was a no exit road, stopping at the creek.
Saltaire Street, which use to be called Birch Street, is next to Herons Park, top right of the map.
Walsell Street, is just off Great North Rd, just up on the right from Avondale school.
Judith and I both went to this school, we use to walk down Racecourse Rd, opposite the school and cut across the racecourse to the gates in Ash St, as we lived right opposite the main gates.
