Yeager/HELLER Bible
This bible showed up at a newly opened historical society, library and museum located in Austin, Pennsylvania.

I was contacted by Denise Owens, Director of Genealogy of E.O. Austin Home/Historical Society.
She said the bible was found in an abandoned house. She wrote:

"We believe the bible came to our area by way of Robert Henry Yeager who was born in 1869. He was a son of Daniel Yeager, born 1817, and his second wife, Sarah Askey. I'm not sure of the relationship between Daniel and George, but George was living with Daniel in 1850."

The bible was sent to me and I have scanned the pages and uploaded them.

The bible contains information on family of George Yeager, his first wife Catherine HELLER, and their children. Catherine HELLER was my first cousin 5x removed. She was the daughter of Johannes HELLER and Christina Troutman. (Johannes was my 4th Great-Granduncle.) George Yeager was a son of Andrew Yeager and Lydia Seyler. Interesting side note: It seems that Catharine's sister, Mary HELLER, was wedded to George's brother, Peter S. Yeager.

The first block below are scans of actual pages in the bible.
Note: The first page of this bible had NO dates such as a copyright date.
It was published in Philadelphia by Edm. Barrington & Geo. D. Haswell, 27 North Sixth Street. If you can date this book from that information I would love to hear from you!

The second block below are scans of loose papers/item found within the bible.
