I recently found a very interesting item in Henry C. Peden's book Marylanders to Carolina - Migration of Marylanders to NC and SC prior to 1800, pp. 180-181 - he says ".....it should be noted that Moses Ruth, Sr., Moses Ruth, Jr., JACOB Ruth, JAMES Ruth and JOSEPH Ruth were all in Harford County before 1774" This is NEW info for me. Then he gives a ref for this statement to his book Earrly Harford Countians, pp. 409-410. Does anyone have access to this latter book?? None of the libraries in my area (Northern Calif.) have it. This could be the clue all of the many North Carolina Routh-Ruth descendants need to tie us into the Lawrence Routh family with better evidence than we presently have. Phyllis
