Brookfield Cemetery - in Brookfield, Madison County, NY

You can find Brookfield a couple of ways:
1. From Sangerfield on route 12, drive south for a few miles, until you reach route 78, turn right to North Brookfield. Stay on route 78 (Quleout rd.) until you reach route 80 (Skaneateles rd.) Turn east onto 80 to Brookfield.
2. From Bridgewater on route 8, drive south for a few miles until you reach route 80 (Skaneateles rd.). Turn right and drive a short distance to Brookfield.
The cemetery is just off the center of town.

At this point in time I have only two images for this page. It took me a while to find Bethiah (Crandall) Denison's grave, as the grounds keeper did not have her in his plot records. We combed the yard from top to bottom and was just about to give up when we decided to look in the oldest section one last time, and there she was. Located near her where her sons and some of their wives. Unfortunately I was not able to locate George Denison's grave. According to what I have read some of the earliest pioneer families' graves were moved off the family farm sites to this new town yard. Wether or not this family was moved here and George's stone was ever found, or if it was moved and later was destroyed over time, I can not say. All I do know is that Bethiah is here and that there is an empty space to the right of her. Her stone is sinking deeply into ground and is still relatively easy to read.

To find them drive up the middle lane at the entrance to the grave yard, go all the way back and you will see a section of old stones, she is a few yards off the lane in the third or fourth row (possibly the 5th) from the back. The cemetery is on a little hill and it starts to slop down shortly after their graves.

George and Bethiah's daug. Edith married Amos Welch they are buried in the Edmenston cemetery not to far away. Edith and Amos' daughters, Nancy and Polly married Terry brothers Isaac and Charles. They are buried in the Waterville cemetery.

Images have links to 150 dpi jpgs, with very little compression. Most are abt. 640 wide or 480 high depending on orientation. They should print fine on most desktop color printers.
