Old Enfield Cemetery - Enfield, Conn.

Sorry to say I do not have a pano. image of the entrance to the Enfield cemetery.
This monument to the Abbe family (Thomas Jr. is figured), located in the old town center not far from the grave yard, will have to do until the next trip.

The grave yard is located on the main street of the old town.

We stopped by the Enfield cemetery on our way to Québec city in the fall of 2000. We did a little whirlwind tour of Wethersfield, Enfield, Hartford and Springfield. Everything was closed or just about to close as we pulled into each town. While in Enfield I snapped these photos of the Terrys we could find. The graveyard is in great condition and the folks are all packed in tight in their family groups. The Terrys are located pretty close to the front and are on both the left and right sides of the yard. I hope to get up there again this year (2002) to get all the families documented.
This yard is full of red stone markers and after a short while of moving around among them you can easily be covered in very visible red dust.
