Editor's Note:

1    Irish Settlers in America, p 373 has an article entitled "Pioneer Irish Settlers in Rockingham County Virginia" by Michael J O'Brien which states that Linville Creek VA was in the part of Augusta Co that became Rockigham Co in 1777.  Augusta Co consisted of the present VA counties Augusta, Rockingham, Shenandoah,  Berkeley, Frederick, and Rockbridge; part of Western PA; and all of WV.
 
 

NEW JERSEY DAR BIBLE AND FAMILY RECORDS

The   following Creed and Brown notes were located In Bible and Family Records (1936-1937) New Jersey DAR (Vol 2, page 193) at the DAR Library, Washington DC.    These records were compiled by Mr. Frank H Brown of Bordentown NJ.  Upon his death In 1935, Mrs. Brown loaned them to Miss Lucy A Farnam, Regent, Penelope Hart Chapter, Pennington NJ for the purpose of copying.
