Concord News November 14, 1878
The neighborhood has been full of events the past few days. The marriage of our friend Garret Dorsey to his betrothed was the occasion of an old fashioned "belling," just such as we have not heard for thirty years. Tin horns, cow bells, conk shells, sleigh bells and horse fiddles were brought into requisition, and brought to our mind an occasion many years ago when we took pap*s overcoat to use on a similar errand, when some rude chap tore one sleeve out and spoiled somebody*s meeting arrangement for the next Sunday. Where is there a similar event— -one house producing a wedding, belling and application for divorce all inside of five days?
