Elias Henry Nuckolls was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Richmond, Va. on Ap ril 29, 1904. He died from cerebral apoplexy. He is buried in Plat F, Se c. 13, Div., Row 3, Grave 7. His name at the cemetery is shown as E. H. N uckols. I'm sure this is Elias Henry Nuckolls because in the 1900 Henri co census he is living at 1222 W. Main St. which is only about 2-3 bloc ks from the gate to Riverview Cemetery. Only 1 grave was bought at the ti me of his burial.
I expect that his wife is probably buried in Oakwood Cemetery because s he later moved back to the area around Oakwood Cemetery.

6/2006 - I found two deeds for EHN. They were written in accordance wi th the Homestead Law of 1870 (a law passed in VA that apparently allowed p roperty owners to designate certain items to be exempt from "distress or l ien"...I had never heard of this before). These deeds were both writt en in 1885, and the second one was simply an update/addition to the fir st one. These were in the Hustings Court records for the City of Richmon d, VA. Elias Henry Nuckols lived "at tenement No. 2214 Main Street" wh en these deeds were written.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Albert Palmieri; h er children, Phyllis Blanks, Connie Kympton and her husband, David, and Ca role Reynolds, all of Richmond; two sisters, Jean Rich and Shirley Peters on and her husband, Herbert; three grandchildren, Sheri and Barton Blan ks and Katherine Reynolds.
