The Old Hawley Cemetery,
Between Oakland Street on the north, and Rte. 590E on the south
Hawley, Wayne Co., Pennsylvania

This cemetery is located about 1/4 mile northeast of the Village of Hawley. It is bounded by Rte. 590 East, Myrtle Avenue, and Oakland Street.

AMES - WOODWARD Jacob S. Ames, 1830 - 1905. Harriet N. Woodward, His Wife, 1836 - 1918. The top of this monument is the highest point in the cemetery. It faces Oakland Street. I am standing near the Oakland Street side. The road you see on the far right is Rte. 590E. Myrtle Avenue is to my left.

SCHOLL PLOT Small stone, left foreground is headstone [prob.] of William J. Stone, with "W.J.S." inscribed on its top; there are no inscriptions front or back of this stone. The tall monument in this plot lists William, facing; Barbara and Emma Scholl on left (northeast) side, and Maria and Elizabeth Scholl on right (southwest) side. There is no inscription on the back of the monument. The very small stone just in front of the large monument has no inscription visible. Behind William's monument/plot far to the rear in this picture are the Schlager gravesites and monument. This is William's headstone.
