Comments: Shepherd moved to Alabama from Georgia. He settled on a rice plantation, owned slaves and helped to develop Montgomery Co., AL. He was a devout Christian member of the Baptist Church, a Mason, and a noble true man. Was the father of 10 children and lived to a ripe old age.
