Marin and his second wife, Perinne Mallet arrived in Canada on August 9,1634. The 28 year old Perinne accompanied her 45 year old husband and seven of their children. Six children were from Marins' marriage to his first wife, Julienne Baril, and one, Jean Galéran, was the first of many Marin and Perinne would have together. Juliennes' children were François, age 8, Pierre, Guillaume, Marie, Madeleine, one unidentified, ages unknown.
