Rites for A.O. Anderson Will Be Saturday

Aurora Township Farmer Died at Age of 84 Wednesday

     The funeral for Albert O. Anderson of Aurora will be held Saturday with a service at 1:30 o'clock at the Norwegian Lutheran church in Havana. The church services will be preceded by a prayer service at the Hanna-Meyer Funeral Home. The Rev. T.E. Moen will officiate, and burial will be made in the Aurora cemetery.

Mr. Anderson, 84 years old, died Wednesday at the home of Lawrence Jensen in Aurora. He was born in Norway, November 1, 1858, and came to this country 70 years ago, settling in Aurora where he had lived ever since.

Mr. Anderson is survived by two [sons], Oscar and Mose, both of Aurora, and one [daughter], Mrs. Lawrence Jensen, also of Aurora.

Mrs. Anderson Services Will Be Held Today

Rites for Aurora Resident To Be Held at Havana Church; Husband, Daughter, Two Sons and Four Sisters Are Survivors

     Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Anderson of Aurora will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Hanna-Meyer Funeral Chapel and at 2 o’clock from the Aurora Lutheran church south of Anderson station, with Rev. T.E. Moen of Kasson to officiate.

     Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband and two sons, Oscar and Moses, living at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Jensen of Pratt. She is survived also by four sisters, Mrs. Edward Jackson and Mrs. August Arndt of Owatonna, Mrs. George Tierney of Minneapolis and Mrs. J. Voss of Northfield, in addition to four grandchildren.

     The oldest daughter of the late Nels Lee of Bixby, she was but 18 years of age when her mother died, and to her fell the major responsibility of home duties in taking care of younger sisters, the youngest of which was but 11 months of age. Mrs. Anderson was born in Norway July 26, 1866. When a child three years old her parents came to America and settled on a farm near Bixby. She was married to Albert Anderson September 15, 1896. Her death occurred May 15, 1935. She was aged 67 years, 9 months and 19 days.

     Regarded as a true mother and sister, she will be sadly missed in the community where she had made her home for the past 37 years.
