Richard, son of John and Mary WESTON, b. 19 Mar 1799, bap. 10 Apr 1799, Putney, Surrey, England. Richard apprenticed as a 'Lighterman' in 1814. Richard completed his apprenticeship and was granted 'Freedom' of the City in 1821. As of 1851, Richard was living in Southwark, Surrey. Researcher - Ann Cox (nee Weston) ann2@one.net.au

I live in Australia and this is the information I have......

My great grandfather's name was Francis Charles Weston, his wife was Eliza (nee Chiverton). He was a thatcher by trade. My grandparents names were Francis Charles Weston and Ada Adelaide (nee Young). My grandfather was born in 1885, Married in 1906 at St Stephens church Wickham, Hampshire, England and died in 1936 in Sydney Australia. My grandparents came from England in 1920, leaving from Portsmouth with my 2 uncles and
aunt. My father, born in Australia in 1921, died in 1998. He was the last of his family and had little interest in tracing the family in England. When his parents came to Australia, they brought with them no photos etc., I suppose space on board ship with three children was limited. My father was one of 4 children, Reginald, Arthur, Florence and himself, Sydney. He was led to believe his father was one of a large family but there was no communication that he could remember between England and Australia. My grandfather died of burst appendix when my father was only 15. I believe my grandfather's family lived in Bishops Waltham, England.
I hope this information can be of benefit. I look forward to hearing from anyone with information on this family.

James Bungate was admitted to Parramatta Orphan School on 16/5/1852 at age 4 & left on 30/1/1863 with a note that father is dead & mother has returned to England

I hope that this information may be of benefit to a Weston. I look forward to hearing from anyone with information on this family & Catherine Bungate's return to England.

I am descended from George Gibson Weston linen draper born 1797 in Newick Sussex and Mary Ann Tuckwell born 1811 in Ireland. There is a list of the proven relatives at the URL given above.  I am working on several links in Sussex, Kent and London but these are still at an early stage of research.
