What we know about this branch of the family
Mordechai Markman and Pina Freiberg had four children that we know of. Isadore came to the U.S. in 1904 and Abraham in 1908. Morris arrived in 1910 without his wife and returned after a brief stay. Pina arrived separately in 1910 having been widowed earlier. Gussie arrived with her husband and two children in 1912. The family lived in Belaya Tserkov (White Church) which was a suburb of Kiev in the Ukraine. Two of Morris' sons (Max and Alex) emmigrated to the U.S. about 1921-22. Dora married and has a daughter in Israel. Jacob visited the U.S. and returned, his children live in Israel, Germany, and Kiev. Zalman died in Kiev but his wife and chidren are currently living in Brooklyn NY. Anyuta, her husband and child were killed by the Nazis at Babayar.
Pina may have been from Voladorka in the Ukraine. We believe she had a brother Morris who married Sarahbeth and they had two children. Debra married Abraham Kalib. Elias(Alexander) married Anna Newberg. This page will be expanded to include the Freiberg descendants.
