Carl W. Schutzler

Carl W. Schutzler, veteran of the German war of 1864-67, died at 1:10 this morning in the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. C. Baxter, at 515 First Avenue. Mr. Schutzler came to the United States from Germany 48 years ago. For 35 years he was employed at the Natrona plant of the Penn Salt Company, retiring 13 years ago.

He was a faithful member of St. John's German Lutheran Church, Tarentum. Mr. Schutzler leaves one son, Frank Schutzler, of Brackenridge; two daughters: Mrs. A. Stemmler, of New Kensington, and Mrs, Baxter, of Tarentum. A sister, Wilhemina Schutzler, in Germany, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the old family church, St. John's Lutheran, Natrona. The funeral party will leave the Baxter home at 1:30. Burial will take place in Prospect Cemetery.
