Mrs. Anna Schellman, aged 84 years, mother of Frank Schellman, alderman of the Sixth ward, North Side, died yesterday at her home, No. 1825 Market Street, North Side. She was born at Basel, Switzerland, and came to this country with her parents when 5 years old. They came from Baltimore, where they landed to the North Side, in a wagon, and Mrs. Schellman was fond of telling about the trip, although she had only a faint recollection of it. Her husband, Frank Schellman, died 42 years ago, and since that time a married daughter had been living with her. She attended the German Lutheran Church until several years ago, when her eyes failed her. She leaves two sons, Frank and Henry P. Schellman of Philadelphia, and three daughters, Mrs. John Thierauf, Mrs. John Otte and Mrs. C.R. Wilson, of this city. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ritchey of this city, and Mrs. Mary Oettiher, of Colorado, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
