James Henry JONES, 75, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 1931, in his home near Primrose in Mt. Pleasant township. Acute dilation of the heart was the cause of death. He was born in Virginia, and came North 40 years ago. He located at Primrose about 25 years ago, and had been employed by the Carnegie Coal Co. first as a stable boss and more recently in general work about the Primrose mine. He is survived by his wife, two sons and four daughters as follows, Jacob JONES of Primrose, Paul Ulysses JONES of Clairton, Mrs. Sadie Jane WOODS of Aliquippa, Mrs. Charlotte Elizabeth BRANNAN of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Rachel Helen CHISHOLM of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Susie Mae RANDOLPH of Primrose. There are 19 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the JONES home, conducted by the Rev. Charles REDD.
