 August E. BLANCHON, 75, of East Lincoln avenue, McDonald, died Saturday,
June 18, 1960, in the Washington hospital, following a brief illness.
 A son of the late Edward and ..ry GAUTHIER BLANCHON, he was born February
12, 1885, in France.  He came to the United States when five years old,
residing first in Imperial and for the past 60 years in Sturgeon and
McDonald.  He was last employed by the Campbell Coal Co. as a miner, and
retired in 1952.
 He is survived by a brother, Frank BLANCHON of McDonald; three sisters,
Mrs. Celestine SCHUGAR of Miami, Fla.; Mrs. Jules SAMUELS of McDonald, and
Mrs. Michael SHEARSON of Sturgeon.
 Blessing services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Pettit funeral home by
the Rev. Fr. James R. CULLEN, pastor of St. Alphonsus R. C. Church,
McDonald.  Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery.
