John Leytrick Obituary
 John LEYTRICK, 74, died at 4:05 a.m. Sunday, June 29, 1947, in his home in
Valley street, McDonald, following a lingering illness.
 A son of Michael and Anna Leytrick, he was born December 25, 1872 in
Pullman, Ill.  He went to Czechoslovakia at the age of eight years and later
was employed as State police in the court of Franz Josef.  He and Theresa
KVAK were married in Czechoslovakia and returned to the United States 46
years ago.  Employed here as a miner, he was a member of the National Slovak
society in Oakdale.
 Surviving are four daughters;  Pauline, the wife of Joseph SIMJAK of
Czechoslovakia; Victoria, the wife of Michael HOSPODAR of McDonald;
Josephine, the wife of Vincent JANESHEK of Midway, and Marie, the wife of
Stanley NEA of R. D. 1, Imperial, and three sons; Emil, Stephen and Dallas,
all of McDonald.  There are fourteen grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in his home in Valley street,
McDonald in charge of the Rev. S. A. MC COLLUM, D. D. Burial was in
Robinson's Run cemetery.

*Compiler's note:  This is my great-grandfather.  His birth name was Janos
Lejtrich.  I am descended through his daughter Victoria and her husband
Michael.  At this time, 1-20-02, Marie is the last living child of John and
Theresa.
